Singlaires Weekday BIKE RIDES
Alma Fletcher will lead a bike ride Friday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. along the Half
Moon Bay Shoreline Bike Trail from Bluff Top Coastal Park (Poplar
Street) to the Distillery in Moss Beach and back. We can have a cup of
coffee or whatever at the Distillery (maybe see the Blue Lady's ghost
there) or at the Princeton Seafood Company in Princeton. This should
be an 18 mile ride along trail and little-used road next to the Half
Moon Bay Airport.
Dress in layers although the coast's weather should be fantastic then.
Let me know if you're coming. Hope to see you there. New directions for meeting place: Do not go to the parking lot at the
Bluff Top Coastal Park as Half Moon Bay is now charging to park.
Instead, follow these directions. Take Highway 92 west to Highway 1,
turn left on Highway 1, then 0.7 miles to Poplar Street. Turn right on
Poplar Street and continue to First Street. Turn left on First Street
and continue to almost two blocks to almost Grove Street. Park on
either left or right hand side of First Street. You will see there is
plenty of room to park. If you travel west as far as Railroad Ave. on
Poplar Street, you have gone one street too far.
Alma Fletcher will lead a bike ride at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Sawyer Camp.
Directions: Do not take the regular turn off at Bunker Hill as there
is construction on that route. Take the next exit off 280 at Haynes
Road. At the stop sign, turn left to the end of that short road. Turn
left again to follow the road down to the entrance of the park.
Crystal Springs Lake should be on your right.
Hope you can come. Let me know if you are coming.
